			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This 16-hour course will introduce students to monitoring and detection equipment.  Equipment will include the Draeger Quantimeter, the HazCat WMD Detection Kit, a field chemistry kit, the First Defender Ahura, and also the matrix of radiation detectors and dosimeters available to you for radiation incidents. The course will discuss the operating principles, applicable uses, and advantages and disadvantages of each piece. Students will use the instruments in conjunction with other hazmat skills to characterize unknown materials and their associated hazards. This course meets the requirements of NFPA 472 Air-Monitoring Mission-Specific Competencies.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The South Central Task Force will be hosting an Emergency Response to Agriculture Incidents Conference on February 10 and 11, 2012 at the HACC Wildwood Conference Center. The February 10th session will address LE issues, while the February 11th session will address broader emergency response issues.</p>
<p>Attached is a document that provides conference registration info and the agenda. While there is no cost for SCTF personnel, there is a registration fee for attendees from outside of the SCTF region. <p>Since the primary purpose of our web site is to deliver information to our members quickly and effectively, you will also find us on <a href="http://www.facebook.com/" target="_blank">FaceBook</a>, <a href="http://twitter.com/911PAHazMat" target="_blank">Twitter </a>and <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/911PAHazMat" target="_blank">LinkedIn</a>.  All news, updates or any important information will also be posted automatically to these three social networking sites &#8211; so that you can choose which method works best for you to receive updates from us.</p>
<p>You will also find us on <a href="http://www.youtube.com/911PAHazMat" target="_blank">YouTube </a>and <a href="http://picasa.google.com/911PAHazMat" target="_blank" class="broken_link">Picasa</a>.  Utilizing YouTube, Association members will be able to share valuable training videos, stories or any other appropriate content that would be of value to all Association members.  With Picasa (Google&#8217;s photo sharing social site).  Association members can share photos of Association events and training sessions to share with all.</p>
<p>Besides the addition of social networking, the Association website is now setup to receive and process Association membership applications and renewals.  All payment processing is completed by PayPal and no financial information is stored or maintained by the Association.  This feature is provided for your convenience and we will continue to accept your membership dues payments by mail too.  By the way, you do not need a PayPal account to send us a payment, only a credit or debit card.</p>
<p>We also have a new email list that allows you to choose which format best suits your needs &#8211; HTML, Text, Mobile.</p>
<p>If you are concerned about security, you will notice that any personal information that you submit via the web site is done so utilizing SSL and the session is encrypted.  The latest and most up-to-date security measures are constantly maintained on our site to further ensure the protection of members personal data.</p>
